Hanoi, with its population of seven million, stands as Vietnam’s capital. This ancient city, steeped in tradition and adorned with French colonial architecture, boasts tree-lined boulevards, serene lakes, and a lively Old Quarter. Hanoi exudes a refined charm that captivates visitors. As you wander through the city, you’ll witness locals engaging in Tai Chi by the tranquil lakeshores, while barbers and food vendors ply their trade along the bustling sidewalks.

Your day commences with a delightful breakfast at your hotel, setting the stage for a captivating exploration of Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi. With a history stretching back over 1,000 years, this city is a treasure trove of cultural and historical wonders.

Your tour will encompass visits to prominent sites such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of the revered “Uncle Ho.” The delicate One Pillar Pagoda, the ancient Tran Quoc Temple, and the imposing Quan Thanh Pagoda will also grace your itinerary.

After a delicious lunch, you can choose to explore the Temple of Literature, where you’ll encounter ancient Vietnamese relics. Alternatively, delve into the intriguing history of Hoa Lo Prison or visit the Art, Women’s, and History Museums. Your day culminates with an enthralling performance at the Water Puppet Theater, a unique and captivating cultural tradition from northern Vietnam.

Morning: Rise early and embark on a descent into the captivating valley facing the retreat. Here, you’ll traverse tumbling rice terraces, meandering along small paths enveloped in lush vegetation. The path gradually reveals a picturesque village nestled at the base of a majestic mountain, a scene worthy of your camera’s continuous attention.

Afternoon: Continuing your journey to the valley’s base, you’ll navigate through roads and farmland, villages and wild fields, ponds and rivers, mountains and open lands. Along this picturesque route, savor the ever-changing scenery as you trek to a beautiful spot for a simple picnic lunch.

Following your nourishing meal, you’ll have free time to enjoy the refreshing waters of the nearby river. Later, you’ll return to the designated pick-up point for transfer back to the Pu Luong Retreat.

Morning: Today offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in village life and engage with the locals who call the hills above the retreat home. Gain insights into daily life as you stroll through working farmlands, traverse rice fields, and learn about the colorful textile weaving process. Afterward, indulge in a satisfying lunch at the Lodge.

Afternoon: Bid farewell to the Lodge and depart from Pu Luong, heading back to Hanoi. Upon your arrival in Hanoi, check in at the hotel, where you can relax and rejuvenate.
